Privacy
The short version
Everything stays on your device. Timers run in your browser, there are no accounts, and nothing you set, name or save is sent to us.
What is stored on your device
To be useful on your next visit, the site keeps the following in your browser’s local storage: timers that are running, timers you save, your alarms, world-clock cities, countdowns, counters and tempos, your session history, and your preferences (theme, default sound, volume, 12 or 24-hour time). You can view, export or delete history on the History page, or remove everything with your browser’s “clear site data” option.
Permissions the site may ask for
Notifications are requested only if you switch on “Notify me”; they are created by your own browser and are not sent through any server. The screen wake lock, vibration and full screen are used only while a timer needs them. The site never asks for your location, camera or microphone.
What our host sees
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. There are no analytics scripts, advertising scripts, web fonts or other third-party requests on these pages.
Share links
“Copy link” puts your timer’s settings after the # in the address. Browsers do not send that part of an address to the server, so a shared link reveals the settings only to the people you send it to.
Changes
If we add analytics or advertising in future, this page will be updated first to say exactly what is collected and by whom. Questions: hello@keentimer.com.
