Tally Counter
A click counter for anything you need to count: people through a door, laps, reps, rows of knitting, birds, inventory. Add as many named counters as you need; the counts are saved on your device.
How to use it
- Tap the large + button to add one. The − button takes one off.
- Tap the name to rename a counter — “Door A”, “Laps”, “Yes votes”.
- Choose Add counter to count several things at once. The total is shown at the top.
- Reset sets one counter back to zero; × removes it.
- On a keyboard, the space bar adds one to the first counter.
Counting laps
For laps where you only need the number, name a counter “Laps” and tap once each time you pass the start. If you also want the time of each lap, use the stopwatch: its Lap button records lap and split times and numbers them for you.
Questions people ask
Will I lose my count if I close the page?
No. Every tap is saved in your browser straight away. Reopen the page on the same device and the counts are still there.
Is there a maximum count?
Not in practice. Counts can go into the millions, and below zero if you need a running difference.
Can it vibrate when I tap?
On phones that support it, each tap gives a short vibration so you can count without looking. Turn it off with the Vibrate switch.
